In a lot of ways, it was like meeting a distant cousin for the first time. With similar physical characteristics, dazzling good looks and an adventurous attitude toward figuring out our changing industry, there was no denying we were somehow related.

The Arizona Republic is one of the fastest-growing major metropolitan newspapers in the country and is Arizona’s largest newspaper. Like NewsOK, is its No. 1 local site, attracting more than four times the traffic of its nearest local competitor, and like, was launched in the mid-90s as The Arizona Republic’s first presence on the Internet, and was one of the first online sites launched by a U.S. daily metropolitan newspapers.

And like The Oklahoman, in 2001, welcomed KPNX-TV Channel 12, the Phoenix NBC affiliate and the most-watched station in Arizona, as its partner.
